Health Care Reform

Rob supports affordable, responsible, common-sense health care reform  that:

  • expands access to quality, private, patient-centered care
  • lowers health care costs
  • does not raise taxes on American families or small-businesses
  • preserves the doctor-patient relationship, without the cost and  interference of government bureaucrats
  • does not add to our national debt nor to the national deficit
  • promotes tort reform to reduce both soaring medical malpractice insurance rates and defensive medicine
  • encourages open competition between insurers, removing unnecessary mandates that increase premiums.
  • focuses on free market options like Health Savings Accounts, price transparency and higher quality choices

Rob will not support legislation that..

  • Steals from Medicare to fund new entitlements that drive up health care costs
  • Rewards lobbyists at the expense of quality health care
  • Increases costs , lowers benefits and accessibility for everyone in order to  provide benefits to very few.

Rob's Plan:

  • Change tax laws to allow all Americans to secure affordable insurance that best suits their needs and shifts ownership of health coverage away from the government & employers to the people who use it
  • Modernize the Medicaid safety net through reforms that gives States flexibility to meet the needs of their citizens
  • Implement Medical Malpractice reform that caps outrageous damages, ends abusive legal fees, and builds in incentives to ensure just compensation
